Fabric Art Journal, "Something that represents my country". This page is for Ruth Ellen
It shows North Cape ( Nordkapp) and the midnight sun.
I haven't been there, I live in Western Norway, and this is "on the top of Norway".
The sun is made of Angelina, also the sunshine on the sea. Waves is made of white gas. Size 8.5" x 11"

My 2007 Journal

In this book I will document my "quilting life".
Front:
Made by painting on fusible web ( Lumiere metallic paint ), added some Angelina, nice yarn, needelpunched organza and gaz. A lot of FME, beads and buttons.

Back:
This is how my journal looks on the back. I needlepunced thin layers of wool on organza, added it to background, did a lot of FME and added some beads

Her choise for theme is my surroundings, garden, house, land. This isn't my garden, but an old, mossy tree a few minutes to walk from my house. I often take my dog for a walking this way, and we visit this place. I often have to wonder of what this beautiful old tree has seen all the years it has been standing there......
